LO4 - Planning for the graphic design product

Budget -
This is a estimated guidline budget that I may spend in order to create my product, this includes the cost of software, printing and also designing the product.
  • All Adobe products include software such as Adobe photoshop and InDesign, this will cost £45.73 which is a annual plan to be payed monthly.
  • To hire a graphic designer it would cost anything between £8.20 to £10 an hour, in total this would take 25 hours to create my product.
  • T-Shirt printing with my graphic would cost £2.99. I will need 60 shirts printed I will sell them for £5 giving us some profit. (60 shirts will cost 179.40)
  • Hoodie printing would cost £4.00, I will need 50 of these printed. (This will cost £200)
  • 250 Tickets to be printed will cost £11, If I sell these for £5 each profit will be £1250
  •  A bilboard will cost £350 for 3 weeks.
Legal and Ethical -
The ASA are the advertising standards authority, they have many guidlines which I must follow.

I must comply with all the rules otherwise I could be prosicuted, my graphic do not have any offensive use of language or rude so therefore it is not going against the ASA rules. My graphics are only used for promotional events.

My Graphics clearly state on them that they are for a Sheffield Beer Fest, so they are not misleading anyone they do not state any free beer and their is even prices of the costs to come to the event. I need to make clear what the poster is about so it does not mislead anyone.

Although my advert is for a beer festival I need to ensure that I put in a mini disclaimer stating that no under 18s are allowed into the event because of health and safety reasons and the legal age limit. I need to be careful to follow the guidlines.

LO4 - Gant Chart

After careful Consideration I have decided the launch date for this event is on the 16th of November 2015. I will be planning 11 weeks ahead to be safe and cautious in order to give me time to plan ahead at every prosedure. I have done this so all the products and merchandise will be ready in advance before the festival.

LO1: Analysing existing graphic work (Summer time ball)

The purpose of the logo of summer time ball is to make it self stand out and people to remember the sign and it also promotes it self as you can hand it out to people on the streets or even post it.

The format of this ticket is straight to the point we can see in bold writing the start time and date of the event, what time to get to the gates and what time the show starts including ending time. Shows your ticket number and the entrance area. Finally the price is also on the ticket, you can also save this ticket as a memorabilia to say you attend this or sell it later but obviously it wont be worth as much as the original price.

The content on this poster is basic but effective it has bright blue and white colours

The style: The style of this logo is basic but warming as the red colours connote invitational colours which are asking you to come to this festival.

The Layout: The layout is in bold but effective the writing is embedded into clouds, we can also see that vodaphone are the promotions for this event

The target audience for this are all Music and festival fans primarily 18-28 year olds.

Regulatory bodies: The ASA are the Advertising Standards Authority. They control what get advertised to everyone and make sure it is safe for the public. Summer time ball does stay with the guidelines of the ASA as there is no content that is rude or offensive within it.

LO1: analysing existing graphic work (Doc/fest)

The purpose of the logo in this doc/fest is to make it self stand out and people to remember the sign and it also promotes it self as you can hand it out to people on the streets or even post it.

The Format: Bags are used to help promote and brand there festival. This is effective because the bag can be symbolised as a memorabilia for the festival or even a gift to another person who may have missed out on the event.

The content on the poster is basic but effective as the black and pink colour on the logo makes it stand out as pink is a vibrant colour. Also the writing is bold although it is basic it is very easy to read as there is not too much going on within the logo.

The Style: we can tell straight from the poster who this event is aimed at through the colours, as they are vibrant they are more likely to be aimed at a younger audience 18-28 would be the best age id say, they are also more likely to go to an music event like this.

The layout it is large spacings on this in bold writing again which is very basic but highly effective as it gets straight to the point of what they are advertising about.

The target audience for this are all media fanatics who enjoy events. Again by the colour we can tell it is aimed at a younger audience as in 18-28.

Regulatory bodies: The ASA are the Advertising Standards Authority. They control what get advertised to everyone and make sure it is safe for the public. Doc/fest does stay with the guidelines of the ASA as there is no content that is rude or offensive within it.

LO1: Analysing existing graphic work (T in the park)

The purpose of the logo in this doc/fest is to make it self stand out and people to remember the sign and it also promotes it self as you can hand it out to people on the streets or even post it.

The Format:  Merchandise can be bought from the stores in the area or the online store. These are used to help promote and can be symbolised as a memorabilia for the festival or even a gift for people who have missed out on the event.

The content on the poster is very basic but still effective as there are only 4 colours used which all blend in nicely with each other. the "T" blends in nicely with the grass sign because after all the event is taking place in a park where there will be grass.

T in the parks poster does stay with the guidelines of the ASA as there is no content that is rude or offensive within it.

LO1: analysing existing graphic work (Glastonbury)

The purpose of this logo is to be appealing to music festival fans and promote itself as a festival in order to gain maximum profit.

The format: There is a poster of all of the performers who will be performing at this even and it is a huge massive list which has many artist that are popular, therefore we can tell this festival would be very popular if people want to see them perform live.

The content on the poster stands out a lot. With the bright colours used ranging from blue, green, yellow, pink and red although it may not be easy on the eye it is still effective as the bright colours make you want to read the poster this is a unconventional poster as most posters are basic this one is has a lot of text and writing.

The Style of the poster is very vibrant and out there we can tell it is aimed at 18-28 year olds as the colours look like typical hipster colours which stand out and are quite extrovert and since it is a staying over camping festival it is almost like a ravers party.

The Layout is very close spacings between the texts with bright colours which almost makes it hard to read therefore you have to look at the poster quite carefully.

The target audience: The target audience are people 18-28 who enjoy music and enjoy sleeping in tents as they will be sleeping over night.

Regulatory bodies: The ASA are the Advertising Standards Authority. They control what get advertised to everyone and make sure it is safe for the public. Glastonbury does stay with the guidelines of the ASA as there is no content that is rude or offensive within it.

LO1: analysing existing graphic work (V-festival)

The purpose of this v festival logo is to promote it self as a festival, as the sign is memorable also to gain a mass audience and mass profit.

The format of this festival: These are the ticket launch dates poster, all the performing acts at this festival are on this poster as this helps to lure fans in and its more profit for the v fest.

The content of this poster is very bright there are many colours such as red blue and white but these are all warming colours and inviting colours. The writing is bold and easy to read with the advertising company at the top which is virgin media.

The style: The style of this logo is basic but warming as the red colours connote invitational colours which are asking you to come to this festival.

The Layout: The layout is in bold red writing there are spacings between the "V" and "Festival" but again its easy on the eye and straight to the point.

The target audience for this are all Music and festival fans primarily 18-28 year olds.

Regulatory bodies: The ASA are the Advertising Standards Authority. They control what get advertised to everyone and make sure it is safe for the public. "V Festival" does stay with the guidelines of the ASA as there is no content that is rude or offensive within it.
